8th Grade Assistant Principal

Janelle Consola

Mrs. Consola is originally from the suburbs of Buffalo, NY. She graduated from the University of Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. After starting her professional career in marketing, she quickly learned that her passion was working with children. She took a leap of faith and decided to become an educator. She has never looked back and has since found middle school to be her calling. She has sixteen years of experience as an educator, all in Fulton County Schools.  

Mrs. Consola received her Master's in Teaching from LaGrange College and then went on to get her Specialist in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.  All of Mrs. Consola’s years in the classroom have been teaching math, and she has a passion for helping students grow a love for math. She started her teaching career at Crossroads Second Chance High School, then transferred to Elkins Pointe Middle School, and was most recently at Webb Bridge Middle School. Mrs. Consola has served students at all levels and from all backgrounds.  

While at Webb Bridge, she served as Grade Level Chair, Extended Learning Coordinator, PTA Executive Board Member, and No Place for Hate Ambassador. From those years of experience, she was able to witness the profound impact that leadership can have on the direction of a school, and this influence is what motivated her to expand her role as an educator from teacher to school leader. Mrs. Consola strongly believes in setting high expectations for students and helping them to grow to their fullest potential.  

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Frank and her two sons, Cole and Luke. They enjoy watching and playing all sports, playing card games, and going on adventures. She and her family are dedicated Buffalo Bills fans (Go Bills!).  

Mrs. Consola is elated to have the opportunity to serve the Hopewell Middle School community. She is proud to be a part of the HMS family and looks forward to helping students and the school reach new levels of greatness. You can't hide your Mustang PRIDE!
