6th Grade Assistant Principal

Stephanie Sosebee

Ms. Sosebee is a native of Georgia who attended Gwinnett County schools. She graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education. In 2007, she received her Master's in Education from Georgia State University. In December of 2014, Ms. Sosebee completed her Specialist in Educational Leadership from the University of North Georgia.

Ms. Sosebee began teaching in Fulton County 23 years ago at Centennial High School. She spent a year at CHS and then transferred to Holcomb Bridge Middle School. When Hopewell Middle School opened in 2004, Ms. Sosebee was part of the inaugural staff that helped establish the school. Ms. Sosebee has been proud to be a mustang for 20 years. At HMS, Ms. Sosebee has taught students at every grade level and almost every core subject area through her work with the special education population. Ms. Sosebee served as the special education department chair during her time in the classroom and was a member of multiple committees. Ms. Sosebee also served at the Jr. Beta Club sponsor for 9 years. From 2012-2016, Ms. Sosebee served as the Administrative Assistant for Hopewell. Through this opportunity, Ms. Sosebee gained valuable leadership experiences.  She was one of two staff members selected to create our WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) program (6th grade mentor program), and has served on our PRIDE committee to help develop the PBIS framework as we know it today. 

In August of 2015, Ms. Sosebee transitioned to the role of 6th grade Assistant Principal. She has led the 6th grade students and teachers for the past nine years and looks forward to an amazing school year. In 2018, Ms. Sosebee became the Student Information Coordinator and Master Scheduler.

Ms. Sosebee is married to Ricky Sosebee.  She has a step-son, daughter-in-law, and five grandchildren that they love and spoil.  In her free time, Ms. Sosebee and her husband love to travel, ride ATVs, enjoy nature, and watch movies (Ricky's profession).

Ms. Sosebee is passionate about middle school students and helping teachers navigate the challenges involved. Ms. Sosebee is elated to have the opportunity to continue to serve the Hopewell Middle School community. She is proud to be a part of the HMS family and looks forward to helping students and the school reach new levels of greatness. You can't hide your Mustang PRIDE!
